Local Priorities Dangerous driving / speeding Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding dangerous driving and speeding, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Due to concerns of speeding at the last Ward panel meeting. Local officers did a joint speeding operation with a Specialised traffic unit to tackle speeding and dangerous driving. This resulted in 3 cars speeding 2 of which were over 40mph, a commercial vehicle with unsecure heavy load was also dealt with, Insurance checks and warnings were also given.
This operation took place on Raeburn avenue junction of Moresby Avenue on the Tuesday 5th May.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
